Values Reflected in American Romantic Films

This research aims to identify the most frequent and influential types of values in American romantic films, based on White's developed classification of values. The descriptive analytical approach was adopted, where ten romantic films were analyzed and represent the research community on the Cinemana website for the year 2022, and romantic films were chosen. The problem with research lies in the films themselves, as they are considered one of the most watched genres, especially by young people and teenagers, as they are the most exposed to them because they represent stories of love and love, charged with emotions, feelings, and exciting and dazzling stories. In addition to that, the way they are presented is through the use of the most accurate and clear techniques, and the way the stories are presented through characters who enjoy... With beauty and attractiveness, so the researcher sought to analyze the contents of these films in detail and calculate the percentage of repetition of the contents and analyze and interpret them. The social and recreational values of entertainment, play, and physical values were the most frequent contents of the categories. This research included three axes. The first is concerned with the methodological framework of the problem, importance, goals, and questions. The second axis is the theoretical framework that is concerned with the emergence and concept of values and their importance to the individual and society, as well as American films, their history, origins, and classifications. The third axis is represented by tables, the most important results, conclusions, and scientific recommendations.
