The study of history plays a vital role in shaping national awareness and identity. However, it often faces challenges when taught using traditional methods, such as reliance on memorization, lack of interaction, and repetitive content. Meanwhile, the digital revolution has led to significant advancements in education, offering unique platforms, websites, and digital tools that can enhance historical research and the teaching of history curricula.
This research explores the integration of technology in historical studies and education, focusing on how digital tools can support modern teaching methods and make history more engaging for students. It serves as a guide for researchers and educators by highlighting useful digital platforms-such as Hello History (which uses AI to simulate conversations with historical figures), Humy, Got Feedback, Quizalize, CoPilot, ClassPoint AI, X, and others.
The study analyzes the types of content and features these platforms offer, evaluates their effectiveness in improving students’ understanding and engagement with historical material, and identifies the challenges educators face when implementing them. It concludes with recommendations to enhance the use of technology in history education and inform related educational policies.
