This research deals with a poem from the finest of Arabic poems, namely the poem "Description of the Wolf" by Al-Buhturi (d. 284 AH), or what is called Al-Buhturi's "Daliyah." We analyzed the poem according to the mechanisms and rules of the psychological approach. I began my research with an introduction to define the psychological approach, as the approach relied on looking at the psychology of the speaker and the psychology of the hero in the literary work in general. The approach also took care of the psychological effect that the text has on the listener. Then I began my research with an introduction to the poet and made the commentary on the poem into two sections, one of which dealt with the semantic aspect and the other dealt with the rhythmic aspect through the music of thetext.
