Abstract

The study aimed to understand the role of digital media in exposing misinformation in the Palestinian-Israeli war, identifying misinformation disseminated on digital platforms, and highlighting its clear effects. The study utilized a qualitative approach to analyze some fake images on various social media platforms. The study and all data were collected over the period from October 17, 2023, to October 17, 2024 .
1- The study results revealed widespread falsification of images and video clips by the Israeli media during the war with the Palestinians. Israel used artificial intelligence in some clips to appear authentic, and disseminated them widely on social media platforms to gain public support and support it in its war against the Palestinians. They portrayed themselves as the ones being wronged by Hamas. These clips were disseminated on all social media platforms (X-Platform, Facebook, Telegram, YouTube), and other platforms to gain global public opinion.
2- Supporters of Israel widely circulated fake images and videos on social media platforms, knowing that they were fake.
