Abstract

The research deals with artificial intelligence films through a critical analytical reading in the American cinematic experience, as we begin the study with a reading in the Terminator film series that revolves around the war between humans and machines, and discuss the issue of the machine possessing self-awareness and its revolt against humans through the film I, Robot. We address the issue of artificial intelligence choosing an alternative life to human life through the film Transcendence, and we study and analyze the idea of artificial intelligence enslaving humans and turning them into a power battery through the Matrix film series, As for the movie Bicentennial Man, we contemplate through it the backgrounds of the transition from machine life and artificial intelligence to real human life. then we examine the topic of human friendship with machines and artificial intelligence through the film Finch, and we conclude the research with a reading in the film Robocop, which presents the idea of mixing artificial intelligence with humans.
